Still Saved

There are so many perceptions on how to be and live saved
Along the years we have seemed to maneuver away from a road that was already paved
Feelings are kept in a cave
Because everyone has rules on how you are supposed to behave

If you didn't have so many rules people would be able to freely tell you they are hurting and need help
But everyone seems to be out for themself
Well hearing someone say it doesn't make it the truth
Someone else' failures is not your news
There is so much left for us to do

So even though some days are better than others I am progressing
Even those who appear to have more than me I am happy--no need to trade
So regardless of public opinion or your famous slogan "I thought you were saved"
I am more than okay.

In-Law Wars

It is funny to see that when a situation involves your mom you immediately take her side and blame me

Your mom is wrong and has always been wrong, but you choose not to believe

I am not asking you to fuss and fight

I am asking you to choose what is right

At this point I am tired and I need closure or you are going to have a year full of sofa nights

My feet are planted and I refuse to go anywhere so deal with it or catch a flight.

Your mom does not care about seeing the kids and does not desire to have us near

When I mention these things to you all of a sudden you have a deaf ear.

But please know I am not worried because fear does not live here.

I do not need anyone smiling in my face silently wishing someone else would come and take my place.

I do not want to add to the confusion but I am simply pleading my cause in this case.

When will you see that it stopped being about you when we said “I do,” and your family became a part of my life.

And how can someone that is divorced tell me how to be a good wife?

Please tell your mom to keep my name out of her mouth, especially when she does not know all the facts

Because one thing is for sure, I am different from the ones in the past and you can go tell her that.

Stand up and be the man you say she raised you to be or someone is going to walk away a loser

And I refuse for it to be me.

Your mom acts one way around you and another way around me

This type of behavior describes a con and I see through all Mary Kay and Gucci bags and I cast down that manipulation

Your mom does not have a valid reason as to why she dislikes me or what it is she thinks I have done

But she has definitely met her match: I am the right one!

I see what I am dealing with and I am prepared to put that spirit on the run

This war has just begun and I am blessed enough to know that the just has already won!

Answer your Phone

Ring, Ring, there goes that telephone

Ring, Ring hang up already so I can continue to pretend like I’m not at home

Ring, Ring same tone all day, everyday

Ring, Ring same people with noting meaningful to say

Ring, Ring I’m about to snatch the phone out of the wall

Ring, Ring they have to know I’m busy because I’m never the one that calls

Ring, Ring don’t have time to listen to any mess

Ring, Ring don’t want to hear about the neighbor’s personal business

Ring: The phone finally stops

          And then I hear a knock

           I go to open the door

          And I hear them say

          We called, but there was no answer.

Man of God

You can always tell a man of God by the words he speaks, the lifestyle he lives,

By the decisions he makes and the abandonment of the way he feels

Rising above the curve balls in life that are sure to come

Renewing his mind and bringing every high thought under subjection

Teaching and loving one another as Christ loves the Church

Sustaining from sin resulting from past hurt

One who chases the Word, rather than the skirt

Man, who was formed from the dust of the ground realizes that through Christ all things are possible to them that believe

Understanding that because of the blessing that operates in his life, he is able to achieve

Head of the household

Has received revelation that submission does not necessarily mean control

Seeks truth from the Bible on things he may not know

A father to his children, a loving and devoted husband to his wife

Pure in heart with no motives, hidden agendas, hate or strife

Confessing Jesus Christ as the Head of his Life

You can always tell a man of God because he exhibits servant hood, as a laborer in the field

True humbleness, diving faith on what is real

Thanks be unto God for creating such a man

Women Anointed

What does it mean to be anointed? Being anointed means being appointed to remove burdens and destroy yolks

To heal the sick and they recover instantly, defying what people think of church folk.

The anointing comes at a result of obedience- God’s gift to the diligent. The anointing is a divine enabler to do all things- to walk by faith in a realm of the unseen.

You can be an anointed preacher who delivers people when you speak

You can be anointed in whatever it is that you seek…because of the God in you.

An anointed writer, an anointed speaker, an anointed artist, an anointed teacher

The anointing is power that changes, rearranges, breaks, and tears down walls of containment and makes things crystal clear.

We are too anointed to fear!  We are anointed women of God! The only thing we fear is God and that is with respect with the audacity to obey

To smear or rub oil on…huh…the anointing is more than what Webster says

Hey! The Spirit of the Lord is upon me because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel

Jesus anointed the eyes of a blind man with clay

But thou, when thou fastest, anoint thy head and wash thy face

Lets us know we are able

These are scriptures not fables

We are daddy’s little girls… we set the bar

So stop trying to be who you already are…
