Experience

I can't say I have any regrets since the day we met
Even when there were things I couldn't detect
I simply refuse to believe that another's actions define me

So even if I loose sight, even if I am unsure of what I like

I'm grateful for you showing me what I don't.

Inspired

Within four corners of my room
I see unscrambled words waiting to be consumed
The four chambers of my heart beat nonstop
Steadily waiting for the ink to drop

My thought processes yearn for change
Through it all the chambers remain the same and yet continues to reign

I need it like I need words to do the job I was destined to do
Because I am but a mere voice looking for clues

That's why my heart beats.

Coming Soon...

The music was so loud the vibrations sent chills down my spine

Mo: Let’s go to the bar

Bee-Bee: Okay

We head towards the bar.

Unknown guy: You looking good in that dress. You gotta let me buy you a drink.

The guy was so close to Mo I thought we were going to have to plan a baby shower.

Unknown guy: So what are you drinking?

Mo: An apple martini

Unknown guy: Hey. Give the lady what she want.

The bartender begins to fix drinks

While the bartender fixes the drinks I notice a short guy walking towards us. It looked like he was staring at Bee-Bee’s chest but he was small so I really didn’t know the difference.

Small guy: Excuse me, wanna dance

Bee-Bee: No but you can buy me a drink

Small guy: Buy you a drink? Them drinks $8. I don’t even know you like that

Bee-Bee: And you never will. Please leave.

Small guy: Man ain’t nobody trying to holla at you anyway

Little man walks off pissed while another guy approaches. I mean we just got here. We haven’t even had time to wet our throats and its already starting to jump off.

Unknown guy 2: Excuse me was he bothering you?

Bee-Bee: Not really

Unknown guy 2: Can I

Bee-Bee: Yes you can

Unknown guy 2: You didn’t let me finish the question

Bee-Bee: Doesn’t matter. The answer is yes.

Lord have mercy. Now the guy who approached Bee-Bee was absolutely gorgeous. He was fair skinned. He looked about 5’11. Broad shoulders. White teeth. Clean shoes. Dark wavy hair and clean nails. To sum it up: whoever you think is fine that’s who he look like. Why in the world didn’t he pick me?

Unknown guy 2: We can get drinks later. Let’s dance

He looked so good I started to say okay

Bee-Bee: Okay (Don’t wait up she whispers to me as she and Mr. Gorgeous disappear through the crowd on the dance floor).

I started to tell her don’t she wait up. But I didn’t want to be no hater. Then all of a sudden the DJ started playing my song “Smack Sum, Drop Sum.” I headed to the dance floor. By the time I got to the drop sum part I had at least five guys trying to dance with me. Man these shorts are a hit.

Mo: Hey

Dia: Whats up Mo? Where’s your friend?

Mo: He went to the bathroom.  They are jamming in here tonight.

Dia: I know.

Mo: Where is Bee-Bee?

Dia: I will tell you later.

Suddenly we hear people arguing behind us

Mo: What in the world is going on?

DJ: Yo, Yo, Yo. Fellas, ya’ll take that outside

Dia: Who knows? Probably some clowns arguing over a girl. It looks like they leaving.

Mo: Oh. Turn up DJ (She yells)

The DJ then plays that one song at the club that gets people rowdy. He played “Slap that Fool.” The club went crazy. Then…the unthinkable. Gun shots were fired. I went down.

Mo: Dia!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can you sing?

What is your song?

Not what you hear on the radio
The praise that's already in you that nobody knows about
For this is praise in its purest form

Open your mouth and sing praises
You made it!!!
You are making it!!!!

Your story is your song
We sing about so many other people testimony

It doesn't have to rhyme
Open your mouth and sing your testimony for someone else

Your song SHOULD be on the top of the charts

Speak to Me

I really don't have the words to describe every situation I face
Partly because some things I simply cannot explain
But one thing is for sure I'm learning money cannot fix everything

Sometimes at that very moment, the best thing you can give me is silence.
Just be there and I will hear you.

Soul Mate

It's that feeling you get when you know something big is getting ready to happen

It's like watching a play so good you can't stop clapping

You don't know what
You don't know how
You don't know when

And yet your face is stiff with an unexpected grin

You want to sleep but you don't want to miss it when it happens so you lie awake when every one is sleep, not making a peep
Anxiously waiting for the day your souls finally meet.

Always Sound the Alarm

World Changers

To have liberties and yet boundaries
It’s what it means to be free
The truth, the spoken Word
Outlawing traditions once heard
Promoting change and prosperity
Realizing one’s true identity
Experiencing true spiritual intimacy…
As one reads, lives and walks into their destiny

Shying away from condemnation
Walking and speaking love in our daily confessions

Always bringing our flesh under subjection
Taking complete control over our emotions…

So that in the end one will hear those special words, “well done,”

Appealing to all nationalities, genders, sex, origin and race
Because as World Changers our motto is to make a mark that cannot be erased!
